Great Indian Food! Excellent service! Anytime I feel like Indian food, I always head over to Shalimar! Even great for take out!

Our family have been dining here for the last 35 years or more, and it is the most incredible Indian food. The level of taste, selection of different meals, and quality of the food served here is exquisite. The staff are amazing and truly care about their guests, we have always been treated as family, and to us, they are family too.

We have eaten at many Indian Restaurants in the Valley. This one is our favorite!

We were very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We had been here before several years ago and it wasn't great. So glad we gave it another try! The onion pakoras were heavenly. Chicken Tikka masala was tasty with a good level of spice. Really good plain naan bread. And the prices are very reasonable!

Update July 25. Again with family. Server Nazim was amazing. Helped us choose a super versatile dinner blend! The value is there for sure! Others have taken my recommendation! (Last year) Super nice staff. Owner makes rounds and serves too.. Great value. Dinner is always a treat. The kabob is super. The nahn bread too. Must go once a month. With family. 60, 50 22 and 18..

The food here is delicious! On another level compared to other curry houses

The fact that this didn't show up as a recommended restaurant should be a crime! I Got the chicken tikka makhani chef special to go. The flavor, price, & portion size were all 10/10 across the board. The service was average but not bad at all! We didn't sit down to eat but the restaurants ambiance had a very classic sit down Indian restaurant vibe. If you are in the calabasas area I would recommend checking it out or taking the chef special to go for a rich and flavorful meal.

Delicious! I absolutely love Indian food and I've tried probably every place within 15 miles lol. This place ranks pretty high up there. If you like your chicken tikka masala less on the sweet side and more on the spicy side, this is your place. The service was great and they won extra points for being able to take a picture with good lighting. Speaking of lighting, the lighting here is much nicer than other places (you can actually see things!) and the decor is absolutely gorgeous. I used to love coming here as a child and I'm happy to be enjoying their food decades later as an adult :)

The lunch buffet is back! The food was so good!! Meats were tender, and the sauces were so tasty! I meant to take more photos, but I kept finishing my plate! Definitely going back. This is a great value!

Good Indian food!

Amazing food. Has many diff types of bread (what I love about Indian food) and rice vs the typical American version Indian restaurants with basic Naan and basmati rice. Lamb karahi is amazing Aloo gobi bread is puffy, fluffy Bread is so fresh

I have eaten here and taken out many many times. The food is fresh and the flavors are indescribable. Every time I take friends there they rave and they go back themselves. I took my kids and grandkids (ages 2-7) sevearl months ago and today they called and the KIDS asked my daughter if they could get the " Indian food" and bring it to grandpa's . We were on a roadtrip on Pacific Coast Highway during Christmas break and couldn’t find a place to dine. Finally, we found this place, and it was an unforgettable experience. The chef's choice dinners were a culinary delight. We tried the Lamb Karahi, Lamb Balti, and Chicken Tikka Makhani. These dishes were bursts of flavors, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Their portions were generous, complemented by both naan and rice, which made the meals fulfilling. The soup was decent, but the real treat came with the desserts. We had a choice between rice pudding and Gulab Jamun, both of which were delicious. We ordered extra Garlic Naan and Butter Naan for an additional cost, but it was worth it considering the size of the main portions. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy, with intelligent use of lighting and mirrors creating an illusion of more space. As a tall person, I found the seating area a bit cramped and the tables small for the amount of food we ordered, but this didn't detract significantly from the overall positive experience. The service was quiet yet friendly, and the chef's personal interaction was a nice touch, adding warmth to our visit. Overall, I'd rate Shalimar Woodland Hills a strong 4.7 to 4.8 out of 5. It's a fantastic spot for authentic Indian cuisine, and I'd definitely recommend it to others looking for quality meals in a pleasant setting.

I love the decor and music. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The food is so well cooked and seasoned. The portions are great as well. Honestly, the staff recommended dishes were 10/10. I mean, every other place does rice, but the rice was so good. I already knew the rest was going to be great. My family and I were so satisfied all the way home. Can't wait to dine in again. 😊

I’ve order here on Uber eats 12 times now! I absolutely love the vegetarian options and my boyfriend swears the chicken tikka masala is the best he’s ever had! The portions are big, food is always tasty and always comes fresh and hot. Ordered for pick up today and the place is so cute inside! My go-to Indian spot as long as I live in this Valley

This place has the most authentic and best tasting Indian food in LA. despite feeling like a high end restaurant the staff and owners try to form a relationship with you and treat you with a lot of respect. Highly recommend (get the mango lassi).

Shalimar has the best Indian food I've ever had. The interior is wonderful, with a European style place setting. The service is always on point. You feel important, cared for and well fed. Everything is fresh that hits the table and the atmosphere is an experience within it's self.

This is our second time here and WE LOVE IT. The atmosphere, the server, and most importantly, the FOOD is amazing.

We have been coming to Shalimar since we moved to Woodland Hills-about 30 years ago. Our children have grown and moved out of the area, but still like to come here with us - birthdays, anniversaries, you name it… Fantastic food, the friendliest people , lovely traditional decor and still affordable when you need to invite a large group of people! Best Indian food in the valley, awesome vegan menu, great service! I've been coming here for years, moved away and came back... I swear it's even better than it was! I've been eating takeout but its a great dine in experience as well. Amazing prices too... I got 2 entrees, rice, roti, papadam and soup for under 50 bucks... incredible!

Best Indian Food in Los Angeles . Been going here for years , Anywhere else is always a let down so I just keep coming back . Gotta goto England to get as good as this place and thats just 2 far ;) Not Fancy Not Expensive just amazing food. I see a few low reviews . Think there was a time where the owner/chef was opening another place and the replacement was not as good. Good news is that the owner is back and the food as awesome as ever . Highly recommend ! Chicken Tikka macani has the best sauce for dipping . Shrimp Karahi and the saag dishes are great along with the mixed appetizer .

Chicken Tikka Masala, the garlic Naan and the Chicken Tikka biryani were phenomenal!!! By far the best I have tried in the San Fernando Valley. The staff of very attentive & fast to serve. The ambiance is perfect and the restaurant is clean. The food was too delicious and didn’t remember to take a photo. But do yourself a favor and check them out!!

I sincerely recommend this Indian restaurant because they are always prompt to respond and willing to satisfy the most demanding paladar. Chicken tikka makhani is a delight that Indian cuisine lovers are obligated to try. Nice place and friendly staff, everything in just one place.

Great lunch buffet simple and easy foods ready

I had heard about Shalimar from some friends but hadn't gotten around to it until recently. I went to scope it out for a dinner spot since we were nearby. We were seated promptly. The ambiance is nice, and the restaurant is simple and clean. The food is very reasonably priced and diverse. Everything we tried tasted good, you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Everyone working there was nice and we had a good time.

Today I have become a fan of Shalimar and its varied menu that offers, the service is of quality and quite extensive, you can’t imagine the large amount of food that can be offered, delicious and healthy, if you are looking for fresh food and Nutritious don´t hesitate to visit this place, the atmosphere is also quite pleasant and the staff is very professional and friendly. On many occasions, I’ve come to the establishment and in all they have treated me quite well, it is not that I’m a frequent client but that all the staff has great human quality.
