February 2, 2023This fall, Shalimar Cuisine of India will host an Indian Buffet. Featuring local vendors and a variety of Indian cuisine, the event will bring people together to celebrate a culture of food and art. The buffet features Indian dishes from all over the country. Each table will have a special selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts.
Shalimar Cuisine of India is a popular dining spot for foodies and families alike in the California area. The moderately-priced platters and top-notch taste bring diners back again and again. For a delicious starter, try their thanedar shunti (hand-pounded spiced lamb meatballs) or their milagai podi chatu (long chillies stuffed with cheese busters).
If you are looking for something a little lighter, go for the samosa chaat. This street snack is made up of split samosas that are topped with yogurt, mint and tamarind chutneys. Those with dietary restrictions can order from the vegetarian menu, which includes a variety of healthy options. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of wines, spirits and beers to accompany your meal.
Shalimar Cuisine of India has long been a hotspot for Indian cuisine, and now the neighborhood is getting a newer, hipper spot. The restaurant offers a wide range of Indian favorites, from samosa chaat to vegetarian thalis to spicy Mysore masala dosa.
Its cozy atmosphere is perfect for a date or small group, and the extensive selection of sweets is sure to please. The Panacotta of Paan-flavored cream, fennel and rose is an especially tempting option, as are the sharabi kheer rice pudding with rum-infused raisins and coconut sorbet and the gulab jamun milk dumplings infused with creme brulee topping.
Utsav serves up variations on the classic lassi, a tangy-sweet Indian yogurt drink. You can choose from flavors like blueberry cardamom or pistachio, and it pairs with an array of snacks and Indian sweets. The sharabi kheer is the best in Woodland Hills, but the aloo paratha spiced potato bread and puffed up poori are also among our favorites.
We are proud to say that Shalimar Indian Cuisine has won the title of the best Indian Restaurant of San Fernando Valley by LA Weekly. We have been serving San Fernando Valley for more than three decades with the most delectable and exquisite Authentic Indian buffet.Aside from its samosa chaat, it is also known for its vegetarian curries and biryanis. The chile-laced pumpkin panch phoron and the kosha mangsho goat curry are especially satisfying, but there is something for everyone.
Woodland Hills newest and most popular Indian restaurant serves up regional specialties in an inviting space, with a full bar. The dishes are plated elegantly, and the menu boasts a few vegan options, though. The restaurant's tandoori chicken is particularly good, with a tangy lime sauce and tandoori crumbs to add an extra layer of flavor.
Shalimar Cuisine of India has been lauded dishes, which use locally grown ingredients. The restaurant is often open for lunch and dinner, and online ordering is available for pickup.
